This novel obviously belongs to the category of chick lit. Just look at the cover; and Lucy Diamond sounds and looks exactly like the author of such books.

Said that, the story is nicely laid out and told: three young women meet at a New Year´s party and make their resolutions for the new year. The reader follows their lives and problems throughout this new year. Naturally, in the end they all get, what they were wishing for, but their way toward their goals is lovingly described.

A nice read for difficult times.
