Preston&Child are a well worn team of authors with a long list of thrillers they wrote together, and by now an almost equally long list of titles they wrote seperately.
Gideon Crew, their latest hero and stout avenger of long ago done evil, is a rather disappointing newcomer. It is not really his fault, of course, but that of their creators, who want to show, that they can match Dan Brown any day, which they canīt. In addition to that Gideon is told by his secret secret service employers, that he has only one more year to live. The rest is the usual hide-and-seek-and-kill-business.
Maybe the authors have just run out of good ideas, but plot on, nevertheless.
